PCS Invites SPSA
Speakers to its
2007 Congress
For the first time, the Philippine College of Surgeons, this year, has invited SPSA speakers to its Plenary Session and Panel Discussion at its 63rd Annual Clinical Congress, December 2-5, 2007, at the EDSA Shangri-la Hotel in Mandaluyong, Metro Manila.
The Plenary Session speakers are: Francisco T. Velcek, M.D., FACS, FPCS (Current Diagnosis and Treatment of Acute Appendicitis); Rafael A. Zaragosa, M.D., FACS, (Extended Excision Prostatectomy to Reduce Risk of Positive Margins); and Danny C. Fabito, M.D., FACS (Endovascular Treatment of Varicosed Veins: Radiofrequency Ablation and Laser GSV Obliteration).
The two invited Panel Speakers from SPSA are Manuel Madayag, M.D., FACR, FSIR (Multidisciplinary Approach to Unresectable Hepatocellular Carcinoma), and Philip S. Chua, M.D., FACS, FPCS (The Role of the PCS in Medical Tourism in the Philippines). PCS President Rey Melchor F. Santos, M. D., FPCS, heads this Panel.
The SPSA is also holding a Mini-Seminar on Sunday, December 2, 2007, during this Congress, as has been done in the past couple of PCS Annual Clinical Congress.

Alvear, M.D., FACS, FICS, FAAP (Inverted Meckel’s Diverticulum: A Rare True Clinical Entity, and Complications of Gastrochisis). Moderator of the Mini-Seminar is Enrico Garcia, M. D.
